Biography

Isabelle Parker, MA

Isabelle Parker will earn her Psy.D. from William James College in August 2025. Her dissertation asked the question: how do social reactions to trauma disclosure impact the relationship between the cognitive processing of trauma and posttraumatic growth in college sexual assault survivors? She is completing an APA-accredited internship at the University of Connecticut where she works with college students, co-leads a support group for graduate students, and conducts clinical supervision. Throughout her training, Isabelle has served individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, grief, and relationship and family stress.

During her postdoctoral fellowship, Isabelle will continue her training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for trauma. She is also committed to further developing her understanding of how to best meet the needs of teenagers and adults with neurodivergence, particularly those with overlapping Autism and ADHD. In addition, she is interested in exploring how hormonal changes in adolescent and adult women affect ADHD symptoms, anxiety, and mood.

Isabelle integrates cognitive behavioral therapies, including ACT and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), with present-moment awareness to offer each client a personalized, compassionate, and science-based approach. She is passionate about building a warm, authentic therapeutic relationship and works from a client-centered, trauma-focused perspective. Isabelle views therapy as a collaboration between the therapist and client, where the client’s pain is witnessed, their joy is shared, and their humanity is celebrated.
